The Data Analytics Manager role serves to understand buying behaviors and motivators of our client’s business at multiple levels, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that can be implemented by our accounts team. This person will develop advanced analytics, as well as improve operational excellence and technology related to the gathering and analysis of CRM, eCommerce, marketing, business, and competitive data. They will also provide overall structure and processes to ensure continuous improvement and impactful results are delivered on a company level. Applicants should be highly curious and proactive, and have a desire to leverage data to develop innovative processes and functionalities in forecasting and analytics.

Key Owned Deliverables

  • Collaborate with team members to improve and optimize conversion rates across a variety of channels such as paid and organic search, email, and web properties
  • Enhance the team’s abilities to report on performance, focus on impact, and provide transparency around analytics workstreams
  • Provide insights on key metrics including web traffic, lead generation, ROI, conversions, awareness, marketing attribution, and trends
  • Generate test hypotheses based on identifying opportunities of KPI improvement for clients.
  • Execute A/B testing strategy and make objective recommendations to improve KPIs based on data driven analysis of the results
  • Implement and analyze qualitative client data such as user recordings and user surveys
  • Identify and isolate emerging trends and actionable insights to utilize data to guide both our client’s and internal strategic decisions
  • Help prepare for the shifting landscape caused by privacy regulations and impending technology
  • Build a broad understanding and support for e-commerce and marketing analytics protocols, implementations, and priorities
  • Define, develop, and optimize strategies, best practices, and priorities for company analytics and reporting
  • Have a clear understanding of our client’s audiences, objectives, and industry
  • Proactively make educated recommendations or opportunities based on client needs and goals

Areas of Knowledge and Skill

  • 3+ years experience in data and analytics leadership role within the eCommerce segment
  • 5+ years experience of relevant analytics and insight experience in marketing setting
  • 5+ years experience working with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
  • Data-driven with a focus on measurement and optimization
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to clearly interpret and translate results, trends, and takeaways to team members, clients, and leadership with varying levels of subject matter knowledge
  • Creative and innovative problem solver and storyteller with data, providing needed insights and analytics to help businesses reach their goals
  • Highly motivated to understand the needs of our diverse customers by reimagining our data workflow and share insights to drive constant improvement of our services
  • Strong systems thinker that can recognize patterns and draw conclusions/improvements from data and customer insights
  • Proven ability to understand/build, test, and iterate workflow and tools
  • Ability to encourage and strengthen a supportive, collaborative, and high performing team
  • Experience identifying, managing and leveraging partners and vendors
  • Quantitative degree required; Master's preferred
  • Proficient mining data from multiple sources including large customer data sets, behavioral data, and social sentiment
  • Extensive knowledge of analytics platforms
  • Results-focused, motivated self-starter, detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple internal teams to create strategies and plans to maximize revenue
